Daniel Footwear – Black Court Shoe

A simple pair of shoes are most often the hardest to find! I cannot being to explain the amount of time I have spent looking for the perfect pair of black flats – I just want comfort and style, but for some reason that seems hard to find!

The same applies to my search for a pair of black courts. I don’t tend to wear heels on a daily basis because, to put it simply, they slow me down and I just can’t be bothered to attempt struggling in to the office in them when I can walk twice as fast in flats!

However when I attend events or go out of an evening naturally I like to don a pair of heels, and a simple pair of black heels will go with everything and look great too.

My search led me to Daniel Footwear and from there I found this pair that were exactly what I wanted!

These Aysgarth Pointed Court shoes are gorgeous. Not only are they really well made and comfortable, but they were under £60 too! From looking at the Daniels Footwear range of shoes I am actually impressed over all – there are some really great styles and they are all reasonably priced too. Plus if this pair are anything to go by then the quality is definitely on point too.

Since these beauties arriving I have been able to pair them with a variety of outfits. Whether it is a pencil skirt and blouse for work, or a dress on a night out. They haven’t let me down yet and I think I will have many years wear out of them yet!

I am really trying to add a lot more classic pieces to my wardrobe that are timeless and I can wear again and again – and these courts are the perfect addition to this wardrobe.

Coast Formal Dress

Whenever I have a special event to prepare for, or just want to treat myself so something extra special, Coast is always at the top of my list.

With such a vast array of formal, and some slightly more casual dresses, I know that they will not disappoint and that I am more than likely to find something that I like.

That was definitely true when I spotted this beauty on the Coast website – and it was in the sale too.

I cannot even begin to explain how beautiful this dress is. The ombré shades subtly fade in to each other, and the multitude of colours within the dress means it is easy to accessorise too.

Teaming this with a neutral colour like silver or gold would look great, alternatively pulling out a shade from the dress itself would keep all your accesories aligned with this drop dead gorgeous piece.

I would say when shopping at Coast that their pieces are true to size. Although whenever buying anything particularly tight, such as a pencil dress, I might look to size up just to give me a little bit more breathing space – and room to eat! The most important part of most formal events.

This dress has me completely besotted and I cannot wait to wear it. In fact, I might just spend the day at home in it!

Michael Kors Sunglasses

Sunglasses – the summer essential that I tend to wear more as a hair accessory than actually on my face, well a girl has to keep her hair off of her face one way or another.

These Michael Kors shades are my pair of the summer and I absolutely adore them. I always struggle to find a style of frame that actually suits me face – although when you’re hungover or the sun is shine directly in your eyes you would be forgiven for no longer caring!

However these wide, square edged frames are the perfect size and shape for my face shape and because of that they are a season staple.

The best part? Instead of the usual ~£100 RRP these babies where just £49.99 so an absolute steal!

The tortoiseshell colouring and pattern of the frame means that, in my opinion, they don’t sit so harshly on your face as a block colour. They also go with a wide range of outfits being in such a neutral tone.

So, if you are looking for the perfect pair of designer shades (because who doesn’t like to treat themselves to a little bit of quality now and again) then take a look at Discounted Sunglasses – they came super fast, in a luxury case and where exacrly what I had hoped for.

Surania Custom Bikini

Surania Custom Bikini

It’s a struggle I have seen common on Twitter and one I have faced often too – just where do you find a bikini to fit? Shops like Primark and New Look do a great range of bikinis but the sizing just never works. If they are in a set pack you often end up with a bikini top that fits but bottoms that don’t, or vice versa.

Fear not however, our prayers have been answered and now you really can get a bikini, tankini or swimsuit to fit you perfectly!

Surania are based in Europe but ship worldwide. In essence what they offer is the opportunity for you to custom build and design your idea bikini. You can then choose to either use standard UK or EU measurements for both your top and bottom, or alternatively you can submit your own personal measurements and have something that fits like a glove!

The process is really easy and the system on the website is simple to understand. You can select which style top and bottom you want and are giving a range of other options such as adding frills, beads, etc. Once you have selected the standard shape and style of your pieces you then move on to choosing the colour or pattern.

What I was really impressed with was the vast range of different patterns and colours available; in fact so much so that it was hard to choose just one print! When selecting the colour/pattern you are able to choose different styles for each part of  the bikini. For example, selecting a print for the main body of the bikini bottoms but a different one for the strap that runs through it.

Prices are variable depending on what style you choose and also whether you want a full bikini or just invidiual pieces, but as a base price a full bikini starts from £28 – which actually I think is a reasonable price considering the price tags of some tops alone in department stores.

Shipping can take up to 15 days, as I mentioned before it ships from mainland Europe, but as long as you know to order in advance this is no problem. Plus I always expect to wait a little bit longer for a custom piece anyway!

On receiving my bikini I couldn’t be happier. I love the print that I chose, one of their new in for SS 2015, and it contrasted beautifully with the white too. Whilst I selected UK measurements for my bikini instead of submitting custom ones it fits really well and is comfortable too. The product is of high quality and I can be sure that this will survive many a holiday and dip in the pool!

I really couldn’t recommend the Surania service more and I think it will truly be a godsend for many that struggle with bikini shopping.

Yumi Direct – #30daysofsummer

When looking for a unique piece, Yumi is an obvious choice. I get so tired of seeing the same thing in a variety of different high street stores – I don’t want to be wearing what everybody else is.

So whenever I need an item for an event or special occasion, Yumi is certainly on my list!

When I spotted this Jacquard Floral Print Sheath Dress (£65.00) on the Yumi website it was love at first site. The vintage style had me hooked; I love jacquard print and the shift style of this dress had me hooked too. It is absolutely perfect for a wedding, day out or an evening having a few drinks.

As I have mentioned before I am not a huge fan of my arms so I was on the lookout for a cover-up to go with the dress too, and this Classic Cardigan (£40.00) was definitely the perfect choice. The deep pink colour of it contrasts really well with the metallic aspect of the dress; it certainly makes the dress pop and ties it all together. Teamed with my matte silver block heels and the outfit is complete!

On side point, I really love the brand new Yumi branding. It is totally on trend and brings the brand up to date to match their range of clothing.

I will be creating occasions throughout summer just to wear this dress – it would be rude not to.
