Retail Royalty Challenge

I really enjoyed doing the Retail Royalty Challenge, it was interesting to see just what I could get for my money! I struggled at first to find anything cheap enough – MUA at Superdrug was my first thought, but at a minimum of £1 per item I wasn’t going to get more than 30 items.

Then I stumbled across a website called the Cosmetics Fairy and my prayers were answered when I spotted a “99p or under” section.

Rapidly eyeshadows, lipglosses, mascaras, foundations, nail varnishes, concealers and eyeliners flew in to my online basket and I was well underway with the challenge.

After a little bit of maths and double checking of my “shopping list” I proceeded to check out.

In total I got 66 items for £30.03. – which I think is pretty good! That makes each item approx. 46p each, which is especially good considering some of the products are Bourjois and Revlon.

I tried to pick colours that would suit a variety of people and I really hope that my donation to Give and Makeup is of some use to women in need. Personally with a slick of lipstick on I feel ready to conquer the world, and I hope that these bundle of goodies gives somebody else the same oomph!

A big thank you to MoneySupermarket for donating the money to fund this amazing project!
