I will admit that, whilst not necessarily the best option, crisps are one of my favourite foods. Whether as a snack or an accompaniment to a dish, the variation of flavours and types means there is always something new to try. Which is especially try with this brand new “heat and eat” range…
This new range has been introduced by Fairfields Farm, an Essex based company that have introduced and invented the first ever microwavable crisp! What’s more, they are gluten free and each come with a dip to accompany them.
The crisps are hand cooked and simple to heat and eat. Simply “unzip” the bag, remove the dip and microwave for 30 seconds. The crisps are then piping hot and taste just like fresh! They are absolutely delicious.
Of course, you can also enjoy them cold too, and they are just as enjoyable then. They are well flavoured and have a crisp crunch too.
At first it is almost a little strange to be enjoying a “warm” crisp, but when you hear that crunch and taste you will realise what you’ve been missing out on. The warmth brings a whole new element to my favourite snack, and makes it perfect for those colder days when you want something warm instead.
The packs themselves are 125g, with a 50g pot of dip. There are two flavours which each come with a different flavour dip too – sea salted crisps with a tomato salsa, and cheese & chive crisps with a caramelised onion chutney. I have recently really fallen in love with plain, salted crisps and so they are my definite favourite. Plus, the salsa dip is delicious and really brings a new element to the experience!
These crisps are really enjoyable, perfect for sharing and have certainly been a talking point for everybody I have shared them with. So, what are you waiting for? Grab a bag and get your microwave on…0
