The best gifts come in food form, and that was no more true than a birthday present in the shape of a trip to Michelin Star rated, The Kitchin. Located on the Edinburgh coast this restaurant uses its wonderful Scottish to provide the freshest and tastiest food I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying.
A destination that is as of yet to become mainstream, but one that since I have got back I have not stopped recommending – Poland. A place stuck in time of years gone past, with decedent buildings and a Jewish quarter that still holds religious markings of yesteryear.
Yesterday I woke up to the foggiest day I had seen all year – and it just so happened to be the same day I had planned to visit View from the Shard. You can imagine my disdain. However, thankfully the weather cleared a fair amount by the time I left for London so I instead looked forward to my trip up the Shard and the views from the top.
In April 2014 I was lucky enough to embark on a holiday of a lifetime. Travelling from London to Singapore, via Dubai, and then further on to Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. All these were destinations that for many years I had wanted to visit, particularly Japan. With the images and stories that you hear about these places it is hard not to want to experience it all for yourself.
