Dairy Free Apple Loaf

No Dairy Apple Loaf

3 eggs
3/4 small apples -peeled, cored & sliced
5 teaspoons mixed spice/cinnamon
4 teaspoons baking soda
250g sugar
250g plain flour

Grease a baking tin. I used a loaf tin and it was the perfect size for the above quantities. Increase for a bigger tin.

Mix flour, baking soda and 4 teaspoons of mixed spice/cinnamon (the other teaspoonful will come later!) in a bowl.

In a separate bowl whisk the eggs and sugar.

Gradually fold in the flour to the egg and sugar mix.

Now fold in the apples and then pour into your baking tin.

Dust the final teaspoon of mixed spice/cinnamon over the mixture.

Bake for 50-60 minutes at 200 degrees.

Hot Toddy Candle

Hot Toddy Candle

Now this is a really interesting concept and I was actually very intrigued when I first found out about it.

Marie Reynolds hascreated a range of candles handmade in Britain that can be used for massage, as a room fragrance, on the body, for exfoliation, as a solid perfume or as a conditioner.

Yes, you read that right – a candle that does all of that. What is this magic?!

Hot Toddy Candle

With prices ranging from £5.50 for a 30g candle this product could not be more multipurpose. I have before heard of or seen a candle that has so many uses. Never have I thought to use a candle as a lip balm and a conditioner before lighting it in my living room.

But that’s what makes this product so great. It doesn’t just serve the one purpose and having this in your bathroom would allow you not only to relax whilst in the bath but also to ensure that your skin is soft, supple and smelling lovely!

I must admit that I was not sold by the Marie Reynolds website, I don’t think it fully reflects the quality of the products – but it is just a storefront and doesn’t affect the products. They come beautifully gift wrapped and would make the perfect gift this Christmas.

I got the Hot Toddy scent, which is perfect for winter with notes of spiced apple and cinnamon. However, there are many other choices including Refresh, Indulge & Hope. All with their own blend of scents.

I have the 50g votive candle, which comes in a lovely glass jar and is gift wrapped in cellophane, at a cost of £8.50.
