Avene – Soothing Hydrating Serum

A little while ago a tried a few Avene (read the post here) samples and was really impressed with the quality and results. The brand is popular amongst beauty bloggers and I can see why. So I decided to put another one of their products to the test.

This time it was the Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum. This serum aims to repair and protect the skin, it hydrates it and is ideal for sensitive skin especially.

The product is a gel which is silky in texture and I found application really easy. A little goes a long way so this £17.00 bottle should last you a good while. The serum is also paraben free which is always a plus!

Avene is known for its thermal spring water and this serum contains a high concentration of it, this again help to heal the skin and breathe some life back in to it.

I have been using this serum day and night after cleansing alone, although you are able to apply your regular moisturiser afterwards. I have found that the serum alone is enough to keep my skin feeling soft, supple and hydrated. Overall I am really impressed with the serum and will most certainly be restocking when I run out, alongside trying out a few more bits from the Avene range!

Also, if you are quick Escentual are offering 25% off all Avene products until the end of March! Take a look here.

I’ve used a moisturizer from Avène before, but I never really knew that they had a serum in their product line. I’ve been using the Hydraluron serum, which is a hydrating serum too. I’m happy with it, but I’m always on the look out for other skin care products to try.

How long have you been using the Avène serum? According to the Avène site, this serum contains alcohol. Have you experienced any irritation?
